image Topic #222: Do you prefer to lead or follow? Or linger in the middle and never fully commit to anything?

I must say that I prefer to lead than follow. After a successful career in the military I definitely find that leading is a suit I wear better. Early on, I was tasked with leading teams of people. I had a knack to think outside of the box and see options were others surmised none.

I received numerous awards and commendations for not only getting the job done, but getting it done ahead of schedule and with better than expected outcomes. This eventually to me standing up an entire division overseas and making it a combined forces operation. This is not a special operations moniker, just a term used to distinguish that more than one branch of the military was involved and shared the same resources for the better good and at a lower operating cost than either had achieved alone.
